Bbr Malaysia Secures RM23.75 Million Contract For Facilities Works On The Kelana Jaya Line Extension In Malaysia

BBR Holdings (S) Ltd (the "Company") wishes to announce that BBR Construction Systems (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd ("BBRM"), an 80% owned subsidiary company in Malaysia, has secured a RM23.75 million contract for the construction and completion of facilities works for the Kelana Jaya Line extension project in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. BBRM's scope of work for this contract, known as Package B, involves mainly the segmental launching and post-tensioning works. The project is the proposed extension of the present Light Rail Transit (LRT) line at Kelana Jaya.

Work on this project started in January 2012 and is expected to be completed by July next year. The contract was awarded by Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of the Sungai Way Group, which is a public listed company on the KLSE. This client is a repeat customer for whom BBRM had executed building and civil engineering contracts previously.

This latest project is a continuation of works from Package A, a contract awarded to BBRM in February 2011 by TRC Resources Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of TRC Senergy Bhd, which is a public listed company on KLSE.

There is no material impact on the earnings per share or net tangible assets per share of the Company for the current financial year ending 31 December 2012.
